Hi, I am
Sugar Bear. I am one of five Shih Tzu puppies born to
Savannah and Sneaky Pete on July 30, 1999. My picture, and all of
my littermates pictures, were posted on a Shih Tzu website owned by
a wonderful breeder, Karen at Glory Ridge Shih Tzu.
One day,
this lady was looking for a puppy...she was very sad because
she had recently lost her precious Muffy Dog, a little Shih Tzu. She saw
our
pictures on the website and it was love at first sight...she picked
me...puppy
number two in "The Line Up". She called Karen at Glory Ridge,
and said "I'll take her!"
...the next thing I knew, I was swooped up and sent to Kansas City to meet
my new Mom.
She picked me up and took me home to meet the rest of the family. Another
lady named
Amanda at this house. I like her a lot. She takes me to her room and lets
all her friends see
me on her web cam. Someone said I look like a Gizmo or something, but my
new Mom had
already chosen my new name~~Sugar Bear.
Oh, she
has this other dog that lives here, named Twinkie. Twinkie is a Lhasa Apso.
She was pretty lonely before I came to live here. She was missing Muffy
dog too. So
when she saw me for the first time, she kind of went nuts~~very excited I
guess. My
new Mom scooped me out of danger and put me in a puppy pen. Twinkie could
only look
at me through the bars cause she was too rough. The novelty of a new puppy
in the house
didn't last long with Twinkie. Pretty soon she got jealous. She was
jealous of all of the attention
and kisses I was getting. She growled at me a lot. She tried to bite me
through the baby gates!!
She was like a great white shark biting those bars! Everyone started
calling her the little
shark dog.
Mom kept
the shark dog away from me for a really long time cause she said Twinkie
was an Alpha dog or something. She wanted me to get bigger so Twinkie
wouldn't
hurt me. I'm so glad! When I was 7 months old, Mom started letting me go
face to face
with the shark dog. She beat me up a couple of times before she decided
she really
liked me a lot. I am the best thing that ever happened to her! (my Mom
says)
Twinkie only growls at me now when there is food around so we eat in separate
rooms.
A lot has
happened since I came to live here. I am five years old now. Mom thought
that I needed a friend of my own type, so she got me a Shih Tzu brother
from Karen
at Glory Ridge. His name is Huny B Bear, and he is four years old now. We
are the best
of friends...we act alike and are like two peas in a pod. Please visit out
happy home,
and check all our pages out. And don't forget to sign the guest book so we
know
that you were here! |
